Germany — July 30, 2010 — Transition Networks Inc., the fiber networking expert, a wholly owned subsidiary of Communications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-GM: JCS), today announced a partnership with Anixter Deutschland GmbH to exhibit their innovative solutions at seven military technology expos organized on US military bases throughout Germany. The expos are organized by National Conference Services, Inc. (NCSI) and completed their two week tour on July 30 at Campbell Barracks in the Heidelberg Area. Transition Networks and Anixter International are global partners, offering customers fiber infrastructure and security solutions.
At the technology expos, Transition Networks displayed remotely-managed media converters and switches, with applications in Enterprise and Industrial settings. Several of Transition Networks’ Industrial products carry a Class 1 Div 2 certification for harsh and hazardous environments. Transition showcased fiber-connectivity products which ensure desktop security by connecting fiber directly to sensitive computers. Transition also showed Power-over-Ethernet solutions which power IP cameras and wireless access points via the copper interface.
The NCSI Summer 2010 Germany Series technology expos brought together more than 50 exhibitors to demonstrate the latest in emerging technologies at locations throughout Germany. Transition Networks partnered with Anixter to exhibit at multiple locations, including the Ramstein Air Base, Spangdahlem Air Base, Wiesbaden Army Airfield, USAG Grafenwoehr/Vilseck, USAG Schweinfurt, Patch Barracks/Stuttgart and Campbell Barracks/Heidelberg.
